  • Discounted Acadia Park Passes

    You will be able to purchase discounted Annual Passes to Acadia National Park for only $28. The current regular price for an annual pass is $55 with an anticipated price hike of a proposed $70 for the pass later next year.

    Come on in to the Town Hall Office for your discounted pass, starting Tuesday 12/13/2022 to 12/31/2022.

  • Upcoming Closures

    December 19th the the office will be closing at 2pm for our annual staff holiday party. The Office will resume normal business hours on Tuesday December 20th at 8am.

    December 23rd the office will be closing at 1pm for the holiday weekend. The Office will be open again on December 27th at 8am.

  • Early Town Office Closure

    The office will be closing at 1pm on Wednesday November 23. The office will open again Monday November 28th at 8am. Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

    The Town Office will be closed Friday November 11, 2022 in observance of Veterans Day.

  • Town Hall Delayed Opening 11/9/2022

    The Town Office will open at 9am on Wednesday November 9th, and will resume regular services.

  • Town Office Closed – November 8th, 2022 Election Day

    The Town Office will be closed today, November 8, 2022 for normal business. Town Hall is open for voting and our office staff will be fulfilling their duties with respect to the elections upstairs in the Gordon Emerson Auditorium.

    Since the Town Hall front steps are still under construction, please use the side entrance (facing George Stevens Academy) to the building and follow the signs to reach the auditorium for voting.  Once inside, voters can either take the stairs or use the elevator to reach the polls.

    The Town Office will reopen for normal business tomorrow at 8:00am.

  • Closure 11/8/2022

    The Town Office will be closed Tuesday November 8th during to the voting. The elections will help held upstairs in the Town Hall from 8am to 8pm

  • Property Tax Stabilization Program

    Our State Legislature recently enacted a law creating the Property Tax Stabilization Program, which essentially “freezes” the amount of property tax a resident must pay if they’ve lived in and owned a Maine home for at least 10 years and will be 65 years of age by April 1, 2023. 

    You may qualify if you are:

    • Age 65 or older
    • A permanent resident of Maine
    • Have owned a Maine homestead for at least ten (10) years, and
    • Be eligible for a homestead exemption on the property you are applying for
