  • Surplus Town Floats for Sale

    The Town of Blue Hill is soliciting bids for surplus floats previously used at the Village Wharf. Five floats are available for purchase—three floats approximately 16’x14′ and two 16’x6′ finger floats. The floats will be sold (individually) as is, where is, with no minimum bid.

    The deadline for sealed bids is Monday, June 3 at 5:00pm at the Town Office; the bids will be opened at the Select Board’s public meeting scheduled to begin at 5:30pm that evening.

  • MRC Meeting Rescheduled

    This evening’s Marine Resources Committee meeting has been postponed until next Tuesday, July 18. The rescheduled meeting will be added to the Town calendar when the details as to time and location are set.

  • Marine Resources Committee Meeting CANCELLED

    This evening’s Marine Resources Committee meeting has been cancelled due to the weather and the likely lack of a quorum. A replacement meeting may be scheduled later this month if a suitable date for committee members can be identified.

    Tonight’s meeting of the Marine Resources Committee has been cancelled and will be rescheduled (hopefully later this month).

  • Renewal of Limited-Purpose Aquaculture (LPA) Licenses for 2023

    Attached is DMR’s LPA Renewal letter to your town, indicating which LPAs located within your jurisdiction that will be renewing their LPAs for 2023. The 2-week comment period opens today, December 5, 2022, and will close on December 19, 2022. Click here to review document

  • Harbor Dredging Meeting Notes

    A public meeting was held on August 11 to educate the Blue Hill community on the proposed project to dredge Blue Hill Harbor to create an all-tides channel and turning basin in the harbor.

  • Harbor Dredging Public Meeting

    Harbor Dredging Public Meeting

    A public meeting has been scheduled for August 11 at 5:30pm in the Gordon Emerson Auditorium in the Blue Hill Town Hall. It is hoped that this meeting will be useful to inform the Select Board as to how to proceed with the process of putting the project to a vote of the Town–including specifics as to what the Town will be asked to consider as it votes on the project (expected at the next annual Town Meeting).

  • MRC Meeting Agenda

    The Marine Resources Committee’s monthly meeting will be held on August 1, 2022 at 6:30pm in the Select Board Room in Town Hall.

    The following topics are to be discussed:

    • Harbormaster report on facilities (Village and South Blue Hill wharves)
    • Village wharf crane repair
    • Preliminary results of inventory of Blue Hill moorings; discussion about future enforcement and treatment of unpermitted moorings
    • Preliminary discussion of mooring permit fees for 2023
    • Preparation for Harbor Dredging public meeting–scheduled for August 11
