  • 2024- Nov. Special Town Meeting Called

    A Special Town Meeting has been scheduled for Monday, November 25, 2024 at 5:30pm in the Select Board Room at Town Hall.

    In addition to selecting a moderator for the meeting, the sole article to be considered is whether Blue Hill should participate, together with Orland, Penobscot, and Surry, in the statutory “consultation” process associated with the proposed abandonment of the Toddy Pond Dam.

    Here is the text of the article:

    Shall the Town participate in the statutory consultation process (see 38 M.R.S. § 902), together with other towns affected by the petition to abandon ownership of the Toddy Pond dam and/or Alamoosook Lake dam, to obtain sufficient information about the dam and the towns’ legal options of facilitating an agreement for dam ownership, including whether to participate in or otherwise support a group that would accept ownership of the dam?

    The full warrant has been posted at Town Hall and on the Hannaford’s bulletin board.

  • 6/24/24 – Special Town Meeting and Warrant

    There will be a Special Town Meeting held on June 24, 2024 at 5:30pm. The meeting will be held at the Blue Hill Town Hall (18 Union Street, Blue Hill, ME). Topics will include requests from both the School and the Town to use Funds from the Undesignated Fund Balance.

  • Full Annual Town Meeting Warrant Posted

    After posting an interim warrant earlier this week to accommodate distribution of absentee ballots, the Town posted the full warrant to be considered at Blue Hill’s 2023 Annual Town Meeting on Friday.

    A special Town Meeting has been scheduled for August 8, 2022 at 6:30pm in the Gordon Emerson Auditorium at the Town Hall.

  • Saturday Open Town Meeting: 9:30am Start

    Although most of our communications have correctly indicated that the meeting will commence at 9:30 am on Saturday (in the Blue Hill Consolidated School Gym), the text in the official, posted Warrant indicates a 9:00 am start time. No official business will be conducted until 9:30 am. Despite this, we encourage attendees to arrive early, such as at 9:00 am. It will take some time to check everyone in (identifying Blue Hill residents entitled to vote); there will be refreshments offered for sale in the Gym, with proceeds used to benefit the Consolidated School students.

  • 2022 Town Meeting Warrant Posted

    The Warrant for the Town’s 2022 Annual Town Meeting was posted on Thursday, together with a copy of the proposed amended and restated Shoreland Zoning Ordinance, in the lobby of the Town Hall and at the entrance of Tradewinds Marketplace. The Warrant is unchanged from the version printed in the 2021 Town Report; there have been some changes to the Shoreland Zoning Ordinance previously posted.
